BANK YOUR PUTTS (Dan Pasquariello)

Putting is simply a combination of distance and direction, but in order to become a more consistent putter your focus should be on controlling the distance factor. Studies have shown us that more putts are missed because of putts losing speed as they approach the hole, as opposed to people mis-reading the putt, as most golfers tend to believe. Imagine the cup as a basketball hoop, attached to a backboard, and on putts of three feet or less, aim for the backboard behind the hole and bank it in. Firm the putt into the cup and your putts per round will dramatically drop… bank on it
