'It's time to 'Get It In'!
PRE-SHOT
ROUTINE
2) The foundation for making good 'Putts' is 'Mastering The Basics of Putting'. You will have to understand 'Clubface AIM',
'Club
head PATH' and striking the Ball on the 'Sweet Spot' or as we call it, the 'OPA' or 'Optimal Percussion Area' of the
'Club
head'. There is no escaping any of these. Of the three, 'Striking the Ball precisely on the Sweet Spot' is the most important!
3) 'Read the Green' from numerous points of view. Start with 'Down The Line', then 'Across the Line' from the low side if there is 'Slope', then 'Up The Line' and finally again 'Down The Line'. This is all done to properly determine the 'Direction'.
4) All the while you are doing the 'Read' keep thinking and feeling your 'Weight or 'Distance'. You should 'Count Your Paces' on the final walk back 'Up The Line'. Once you have done this you will have some accurate measurements for how far you have to roll the ball.
