| THE ART OF PUTTING (Chris Dupill) | |||
|
Did you know putting is 43% of the game of
golf, on average? And yet it is the least practice shot in golf. The
majority of players love to work on hitting the driver. However, the
driver is used, on average, only 14 times during a round of golf. So, if
you really want to save strokes, practice your putting!
Now that you've decided to practice with the putter, I'll give you the 5 keys to better putting. 1) Keep your eyes over the ball. 2) Make sure the clubface is aimed at the target. 3) Make a pendulum stroke using your shoulders and arms. You do not want to use your hands to take the putter back and through. 4) Make sure you accelerate the club-head to the target. 5) You want visualize the putt going in the hole and believe you are going to make the putt. By practicing these 5 keys to better
putting, I know you'll reduce the number of strokes it takes you to play
a round of golf. Because now you are working on improving 43% of your
golf game. |
