Chipping

ELEMENTS OF GOOD CHIPPING (Rick Bailey)
Lean your weight into your left side with a slightly open stance (better line of sight). Play the ball back in your stance a little more than half way between your feet. Set hands ahead of club head (about even with the crease in your pants). Make a small rotation of the shoulders keeping the triangle of the arms, hands and shoulders as one unit. Make a slight downward stroke of the club into the back of the ball keeping the hands ahead of the club head. Use this method for all chipping.

Practice with different clubs to determine flight plus roll. I do not recommend using just one club around the greens and making a bigger swing for distance. I teach one stroke but use different clubs for distance. A good book to read is The Elements of Scoring by Raymond Floyd published by Simon and Schuster.
Good luck!
