- The longer the grass, the more likely
the grass will wrap around the hosel, delofting the club.
- The grass trapped between the clubface
and the ball will reduce spin, and the ball will roll more upon
landing.
- Move your hands down on the club, and
hold it slightly firmer than normal.
- Place the ball forward in your stance,
and hinge your wrists to produce a steeper angle of approach to the
ball.
- You can successfully play this shot like
a green-side bunker shot when the grass is extremely thick. Remember
to follow through and accelerate the club through the grass.
- Trust your swing and allow the club to
propel your ball to your target.
