Putting On the Short Ply
Tips from PGA/LPGA Teachers on FINDaLESSON.com

For the golfer who doesn't go south for the winter, you can work on your putting stroke indoors. Pick your room with the shortest ply of carpet and use this as your putting green.

Place two 2 x 4’s parallel to each other the width of your putter head apart. Place the ball between the two 2 x 4 's and putt within these boundaries. Try not to hit either side and this will help develop a very nice square stroke.

Watch golf on TV - even turn down the volume - just look at the mannerisms of the professionals...how they set up to the golf ball, how they finish their swings, their pre shot routines. Sometimes the commentators get way too technical, so just LOOKING helps.
